Pahalgam terror attack: Army allows ALH Dhruv helicopters for limited operations, will be deployed in Srinagar and surrounding areas

After the terror attack in Pahalgam, the Indian Army has allowed its ALH Dhruv helicopters to be used for limited operations in Srinagar and surrounding areas. These helicopters were grounded for the last two months after Coast Guard officers were killed in a crash in Porbandar, Gujarat.

What is ALH Dhruv?

The ALH Dhruv, manufactured by Hindustan Aeronautics Limited, is the mainstay of the Indian Army’s operations. Disruption in its operation has been a major challenge for the army. HAL is working with other agencies to activate it soon.
